Feldioara Citadel, built on a hill, it commended the Olt Valley. Here laid one of the residences of Teuton's Knights (1211 - 1225); afterwards being transformed in a Country Citadel.

Rupea Citadel, first mentioned in 1324, was built on the Cohalm Hill, in several phases (XII - XVII centuries); it has four fortified halls with polygonal towers.

Sighisoara Citadel , was colonized with saxons, at half of the XII century, and was first mentioned in 1280 under the name of "Castrum Sex". Is the only inhibited citadel in Europe, due to its urban and well persevered medieval ensemble.
