Fagaras Stronghold- the first wooden stronghold was built since 1310. In the appearance of the present day stronghold, which was built in 1538, the influence of Renaissance architecture can be observed.

Brancoveanu Monastery was built between 1696 -1698 by Constantin Brancoveanu, ruler of the Romanian Country. The Monastery was basseted by the Austrians in 1785, first restored in 1926 and then in 1984 when it was also extended and next to the old church a new one was built with the titular saint of Saint Martyrs Brancoveni.
