   RESTAURANT "CERBUL CARPATIN"

The house hosting the restaurant has a long history: built between 1541-1547, "Hirscher House" (as it was first known) was built at the order of Appolonia Hirscher the wife of the mayor of Brasov in those times as a tribute to the city. The initial use of the house (till the beginning of the last century) was that of trade centre and inn. Today's restaurant is one of the most known locations in Romania; with a great Romanian cuisine and an impressive wine collection, Crama Cerbul Carpatin cannot be missed by anybody who is coming to Brasov. The food is mainly Romanian, the wines are coming from the best and most famous vineyards in the country and the artistic program offering folk dances and music made Cerbul Carpatin well known all over Europe and beyond.
  Wine Tasting
Tasting the wines coming from the renowned Romanian vineyards constitutes a unique moment of delight. Theflavour of Bachus's drink entwines in perfect harmony with the Romanian folk melos. Every evening the tourists may greet in a Dionysic way the bouquet, the taste and the finesse of more-than-once medal-wining white or ruby wines coming from the famous Mulfatlar vineyards, or from the not less valuable "Grasa de Cotnari", "Busuioaca de Husi", "Feteasca de Tarnave" as well as "Tamaioasa", "Merlot Recas" or "Cadarca de Minis". The wines shall be seasoned whith game or samples of national cuisine.
Menu
One of the main reasons for any tourist visiting Brasov to have dinner in Crama Cerbul Carpatin is the wine list. You will find here virtually any good Romanian wine. And where you find great wines then you must find great food, too. The chef in Cerbul Carpatin knows exactly what to serve you so that the bottles of wine seem countless. The cuisine is mostly Romanian.

The house special: "Madame Hirscher" tournedos

The chef reccomends: Pork Medallions Cerbul Carpatin style
